Trevor Noah, the award-winning South African comedian, is planning to debut a weekly podcast on Spotify later this year.
The unnamed podcast will have his comic flair and global viewpoint, covering intriguing topics and incorporating conversations with notable personalities.
Scrolla says that the podcast will be available on a variety of platforms.
This announcement comes after Noah's departure from the popular American talk show The Daily Show.
He was ecstatic about the prospect of exploring long-form content and engaging in meaningful conversations without the constraints of television.
He believes that podcasting will allow him to delve into themes for extended periods of time, free of the time constraints imposed by ads.
Noah got the idea for the podcast after talking with Spotify's CEO, Daniel Ek, at the Cannes Lions conference on the use of new technologies and mediums to engage with audiences.
After a seven-year run, Noah exited The Daily Show in late 2022.
